KCAA Preschools

Our Philosophy

Learning Philosophy

Research has repeatedly shown that a high-quality preschool experience stimulates brain development and promotes social, cognitive, and physical gains in young children.  The quality of the experience that a child has in the first 5 years of life lays the foundation for the kind of adult that child becomes.  Our programs, which are based on developmental stages of children rich in hands-on, individualized experiences and are guided by caring, specially trained teachers, create a high-quality preschool environment.  Knowing that a child’s family is the primary source of nurturing and support, we partner with families, particularly working and low-income families, to provide access to quality resources to help them develop and sustain a stable and nurturing environment.

When you enroll your child in one of KCAA’s preschools, your family joins a long history of successful educational beginnings.  For more than 100 years, this non-profit association has been teaching children how to learn, not just in preschool, but throughout their lives.  More than 140,000 children have benefited from a curriculum that concentrates on giving them good habits and attitudes, a positive sense of themselves and a love of learning.  KCAA strives to help children become enthusiastic, independent, self-confident and inquisitive learners!
